 In 2022, there will be eight new BL series.

    We already have a large number of planned BL series for 2022, but new BL series are being released with official trailers and release dates. In this blog, I will not discuss any future BL series that I have already discussed, but rather those that have fresh trailers and information to provide. GMMTV's two presently aired BL series will similarly finish on March 20 and April 1, indicating that new shows will premiere at the end of this month and the beginning of next month. BIG DRAGON

    Although the official pilot trailer was released last month, I have only recently watched it. From the looks of it, it has the potential to be a good one, but I'm a little concerned about the theme. It was just hinted to at the start of the trailer, but I'm not sure how it would influence the series' main plot. On this BL, the enemies to lovers trope is prevalent, therefore the first few parts would be the most interesting. There is no official release date as of yet, but if the company releases the additional teasers and trailers, we may expect it to be sooner.

BETWEEN US

    It's been over three years since we first saw WinTeam as a pair on Until We Meet Again The Series. The parallel tale of Until We Meet Again, Between Us, will fill in the gaps of the WinTeam story on the latter. Between Us is set to premiere in November 2022, the same month as the official premiere of Until We Meet Again. Despite the fact that this series will focus on the WinTeam plot, I'm still expecting to see an appearance from Dean and Pharm, since I've been missing their characters in this story. I'm already looking forward to meeting my expectations, even if the official release date is still 8 months away.

THE TUXEDO

    This has been teased for almost a year, and we're lucky to have it on March 5th of this year. Unlike any other Thai BL series, The Tuxedo is just 8 episodes long, with each episode lasting around 20 minutes. Because it includes a family business history on top of it, I can't predict if the plot will be more intricate than a basic love story just on its trailer. Chap and Green have a terrific chemistry together, and I'm hoping that the other lead couple will do the same. The Tuxedo will premiere on GaGaOOLala on March 5.

KINNPORSCHE

    When KinnPorsche's debut trailer was released last year, it hit the internet like storm. Unfortunately, a lot of things transpired behind the scenes, causing the series to be postponed indefinitely. Thankfully, the wait is now over, as the official trailer will be released on March 4 and the series will be released on April 2. After more than a year of anticipation, the fans' excitement may be a little lower than last year, but it's finally happening. The previews for KinnPorsche offered us a hint that it will be unlike any other Thai BL series before it, and I have great hopes for it. KinnPorsche will premiere on iQiYi on April 2nd.

MY ONLY 12%

    I'm usually hesitant to watch a series with Earth in it because most of his projects, at least on his part, were mostly tragic stories. Even though I'm expecting this BL to follow in the footsteps of his previous works, there's a magnet that draws me to watch this series, despite my fears about the show's outcome. According to the teaser, the plot is set in the past, with a time jump in the following teaser. Earth and Santa are making a reappearance on the BL scenes with My Only 12 Percent. My Only 12 Percent will premiere on iQiYi in August.

DEAR DOCTOR

    This Thai BL sprung from the ashes, and it's already one of my favorite forthcoming BL series for the year 2022. Although there is a significant variation between the two, the narrative reminds me of Black — A Korean Drama. It's nice to hear that more companies are now producing different sorts of BL series with more narrative than just a simple love story. Although I am excited for this series to premiere, I am also expecting a sad conclusion due to the narrative. Dear Doctor will premiere on iQiYi on March 23.

THE MAN WHO DEFIES THE WORLD OF BL 2

    It's been over a year since the first season aired, and we're fortunate that season 2 will premiere in March. The first season ended on a cliffhanger, and I'm still curious as to what will happen to the male protagonist once he realizes he's in the realm of BL. Although I can't understand it without the official English subtitles, the official trailer was released over two weeks ago. I'm hoping that this BL will be available to watch internationally as well. Season 2 of The Man Who Defies The World Of BL will premiere on March 20.

DNA SAYS LOVE YOU

    Although this is the only Taiwanese BL series on the list, some of you prefer Taiwanese BLs over others. The teaser doesn't reveal much about the plot, but it does provide some context for where the series is headed. Because of several moments in the teaser, this show's drama seems a little heavy, but I'm hoping it won't have a gloomy finish. When I see a specific Taiwanese BL, the agony of Make Our Days Count comes back to me. DNA Says Love You is due to premiere on March 14.

    There are a lot of new BL series coming out this year at different times, and the only thing that will help us decide what to watch is the quality. Aside from these titles, there will be more BL Series releases in the near future from other companies and countries. What forthcoming BL series are you looking forward to seeing?
