 The 10 Most Anticipated BL Series in 2022 (April - June)

    Our watch list has never been more crowded owing to the releases of the BL series, with the official release of KinnPorsche and The Miracle Of Teddy Bear. The first quarter of the year is officially finished, but with these new releases, the second quarter is already off to a terrific start. We'll go through 10 forthcoming BLs for the second quarter in this blog, as well as what to expect from these stories. Which of these BLs are you most excited for? Let's get started without further ado.

#10. STAR IN MY MIND

    Because Enchanté reached its conclusion last week, there should be a new BL in town to take its place. The first part of the two-part BL series "Star And Sky" will show tonight, bringing a fresh narrative to the table. Although this BL appears to be another university-themed series, it will introduce us to a new pair of characters and a new narrative. Although this isn't my most anticipated GMMTV BL series for 2022, I'm confident that I'll add it to my watchlist.  Star In My Mind will start airing on April 8 and will be available on GMMTV's YouTube channel and Viu.

#9. PLUS & MINUS

    If there isn't a Taiwanese BL to air for us, the second quarter of the year will be cut short. The enemies to lovers trope is well-known in Taiwanese BLs, but this time, it will be a friends to lovers romance that will warm our hearts. Apart from that, our main characters will be working adults, adding variation to the BL stories we're currently witnessing. Plus & Minus is set to premiere on April 15 and will be streamed on Viki.

#8. OCEAN LIKES ME

    Last year, one of the actors from Where Your Eyes Linger appeared in My Sweet Dear, a Korean BL that was as captivating. Han Gi Chan will appear in another Korean BL called Oceans Likes Me this time, but with a different partner. Ocean Likes Me is a story about two people who meet by chance while attempting to achieve their goals. Both of them will take steps toward their goals now that they have each other. Ocean Likes Me premieres on April 26 and will be streamed on Viki.

#7. CHECK OUT

    This Thai BL series was intended to be released last year, but it was apparently postponed this year due to the epidemic. Fortunately, the cast was able to give their viewers a special episode before saying farewell for the time being. Check Out is making a full-series comeback in the second quarter of 2022 to exhibit the grandeur of its plot and the chemistry of the main characters. The series Check Out tells the story of two persons who are both traveling alone for different reasons. With their shared moments together, there's bound to be a spark between them.

#6. TRIAGE

    Triage, a BL series based on a web book, was previously released as a short film in 2019, but will now be expanded into a complete series in the second quarter of 2022. The actors that will play the main protagonists in this series have yet to be disclosed, but some fans are already hoping that the short film and the series will include the same actors. Triage will premiere on April 18th.

#5. THAT'S MY CANDY

    The fantasy genre in the BL series is gradually expanding, which is really a positive thing for people looking for unusual plots. If Triage The Series is a return drama for Tae and Tee, That's My Candy is Kim and Copter's next project following their series Gen Y, which premiered in 2021. Kim and Cop's chemistry has always been my fave since the first two Moons in 2017. That's My Candy will tell the story of a nice couple who are having difficulty making time for one other. Their lovely relationship may be restored to its former splendour thanks to a strong candy. On April 24, That's My Candy will premiere on Viki and WeTV and will be accessible for viewing.

#4. WHAT ZABB MAN

    What Zabb Man is the right BL for you if you're seeking for a food-themed BL with the enemies to lovers trope. The first pair on this show was previously featured in a BL series called Hidden Love, and it's great to see them back in this romantic drama. The drama What Zabb Man depicts the story of a hardworking cook and a hotel owner who have a strained relationship. The hotel owner fell in love with him because of the foods he prepares, but owing to his pride, he continues to criticize him. Their animosity would evolve into something called love as a result of their repeated clashes. On April 9, What Zabb Man will air.

#3. MEOW EARS UP

    Meow Ears Up may be your next BL drama to watch if you're looking for something different to watch. A love tale involving a human and a shape-shifter is unusual for a BL series, and it would be strange if I were questioned about it. Despite the fact that the tale is somewhat different from others, the traditional romance and humor components are still there, allowing us to feel at ease while viewing this BL. Meow Ears Up will premiere on AIS Play on April 12 and will be accessible on demand.

#2. TO MY STAR 2

    Along with Where Your Eyes Linger, Light On Me, Semantic Error, and Cherry Blossoms After Winter, the first season of To My Star is one of the most popular Korean BL series. After the first season ended in 2021, the second season is one of the most anticipated BL for 2022. Our main characters' chemistry is fantastic, and I can't wait to see it onscreen again. Season 2 of To My Star will premiere in June and will be accessible on Viki.

#1. MR. UNLUCKY CAN ONLY KISS

    Japanese BLs have always been a favorite of mine, and this time, another Japanese BL will be presenting a fantastic series for us to enjoy. Mr. Unlucky Can Only Kiss is based on a manga of the same name and depicts the story of a college student who has poor luck and creates issues everywhere he goes. One day, he met another student who was the polar opposite of him - he was really lucky. They collaborate in order to balance their fortunes, but they must always be with one another. On April 22, Mr. Unlucky Can Only Kiss will air.

    With the current and prospective BL lineups, the second quarter of 2022 is sure to be intriguing. While watching everything might be exhausting, at least we have a say in what we watch in our leisure time. Which of these BLs are you most looking forward to?
