#2. A TALE OF THOUSAND STARS

Back then, this type of narrative was so enlivening, and many people were fascinated about how GMMTV could produce something similar for a BL. However, the production was soon stopped because of the epidemic. It was challenging for them to complete the plot since the environment was completely different from the present lineups. The initial purpose of the character Phupha also became a problem. The group changed it from military officer to chief forest ranger due to political concerns in the country. Back then, I was among the most excited viewers because I was eager to see something fresh. And last year, when it was aired, I was really happy to see the finished product.

#3. BAD BUDDY

    If you've been a fan of BL for so long, you might be aware with the ghost ships that exist in the industry. Because of their well-known Thai series, such as The Gifted and The Gifted Graduation, Nanon was frequently paired with Chimon. But starting Edge of 17, Chimon had an official on-screen BL partner. Many fans were astonished when GMMTV cast Ohm and Nanon as an on-screen BL pair alongside Bad Buddy when it was unveiled in late 2020. Since his partner is one of his closest friends, this was Nanon's first BL, and many fans were curious to see how he would do. 

#4. VICE VERSA

    When it was first revealed, this BL Series was one of the most anticipated on GMMTV. Bringing Ohm and Nanon back in this BL immediately following their own series was one of the things that particularly delighted the fans. Even though they just made cameos in the first and second episodes, it nevertheless generated a lot of buzz for the show, especially among fans of Bad Buddy. The storyline was another aspect. Having universal travel as the major plot was a big advancement in the industry since we had never previously explored the various types of fantasy plots in a BL. Last but not least, because Jimmy played one of the most intriguing characters in Bad Buddy, many of his admirers yearned to see him in a different role.

#5. LOVE BY CHANCE 2

    One of the most watched BL Series ever is the first season of Love By Chance. Aside from Together With Me of MaxTul, that was the only excellent BL we could see at the time. My favorite aspect of this show is the love story between Ae and Pete, but tragically, due of some management problems in the first season, they were no longer together in the second. The director said that a second season of Love By Chance will not be made after Season 1. But when Tin and Can took over as the show's lead pair two years later, everything changed. Fans of the first season were the ones for whom it generated the most buzz.

#6. LIGHT ON ME

    Light On Me is a Korean BL that has always been among the most well-liked BLs in the industry even before it has aired. This was mostly due to the fact that it had more episodes and lasted longer, which led viewers to believe that it would be superior to most Korean BLs. And Light On Me performed a fantastic job, outperforming its predecessors in terms of the plot and quality of production. It was a fantastic beginning for a fully fledged Korean BL, despite the fact that it still falls short of the typical Korean dramas.

    To My Star's second season is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated Korean BLs of the year, and once the first episode aired, it sparked even more controversy. Kang Seo Joon and Han Ji Woo's love story was beautifully complicated and told in To My Star Season 1, but there wasn't enough time to completely explore it. Our mouths dropped when Season 2 aired due to the storyline choice. Due to the vulnerability of their characters, it is much more complicated. The breakup narrative was the major emphasis of the story, which led to many fan predictions about whether the two main characters would reunite or if their love story would come to an end.

#8. THE MIRACLE OF TEDDY BEAR

    This Thai BL was the first BL to air locally on Channel 3, and it generated a lot of buzz among fans and non-fans alike. Most of the individuals that watch Channel 3 are older people who don't appear to be interested in these shows. In addition, The Miracle Of Teddy Bear has a distinctive lakorn style that sets it apart from other Thai BLs. Due to its contentious premise and cast of characters, this BL was always the topic of the town, but I myself truly like how it continued its plot. One of the most shocking parts of this BL was the finale, which I'll never forget.

#9. I TOLD SUNSET ABOUT YOU

    In all honesty, I Told Sunset About You and I Promised You The Moon are two of the most hyped-up BLs ever, but I'm leaning more toward the first. Not because it has sexual sequences, but rather due to the high production value, it is still one of the most frequently recommended BLs for this year even after two years. It stands out from other BLs because of the incredible attention to detail. I Told Sunset About You served as a cultural reset for me since it permanently changed the way I viewed the standards for BLs.

#10. STILL 2GETHER

    Still 2gether was the talk of the town when GMMTV revealed it will premiere just a few months after 2gether The Series concluded, despite the fact that 2gether The Series is undoubtedly more well-known. GMMTV had to do something for the fans in order to give the characters of the series a fitting send-off in light of the conflicting reactions to the 2gether The Series conclusion episode. Thankfully, Still 2gether was able to live up to and occasionally even beyond the expectations of the audience.
