 The 24 Most Anticipated BL Series for August 2022

    August has officially here, and with it comes a slew of current and impending BL shows that will seriously test our sanity. Although July was full with excellent BLs, we must move on to see what the new batch of BLs can give us with their narrative. The list of current and forthcoming BL series that we can watch in August will be available on this blog. Feel free to share your favorite BLs that are airing this month in the comment section below. Let's start the blog straight now without further ado.

#1. MY SECRET LOVE

    This Thai BL has been aired since May 28 and is now on episode 9. Since there is so much BL coming out, I haven't followed up on the most recent episode, but My Secret Love is truly an excellent one to think about. Despite the fact that this series doesn't have a deep backstory like some of the other famous shows, it delivers a straightforward plot with its four BL couples. My Secret Love airs every Saturday and is available to watch on YouTube.

#2. CHECK OUT

    This BL has been showing since June 11 and is now on episode 8. Before viewing the eight episodes of Check Out, you might want to watch the special episode from back in 2021. Thankfully, this BL is still on the iQiYi platform despite a contentious problem with switching platforms. #3. COFFEE MELODY

    This Thai BL is still on its first episode and is quite new. I've been waiting to see Pavel in a BL series, and Coffee Melody gives me my wish. Unfortunately, Viki is the only place where you can view this BL, and it appears that just a small selection of countries have access to it. Anyway, I'm eager to find out what will transpire in this series' love story between a composer and a barista. Every Monday, Coffee Melody airs and can be seen on Viki.

#4. MINATO'S LAUNDROMAT

    When it comes to narratives, Japanese BLs are simply the finest, and Minato's Laundromat is demonstrating this with its own. Although early episodes of this show were criticized for being an age gap drama, Minato's Laundromat shows that the show is more than that. The fifth episode of Minato's Laundromat, which airs every Wednesday on GagaOOLala, has just been released.

#5. EVEN SUN THE SERIES

    Even though we are eagerly awaiting Between Us in November, we can currently watch Even Sun The Series, another BounPrem series. This Thai BL is going to a finish on Wednesday, so you might want to binge watch the entire season to decide whether it's worth watching or not. Although Boun and Prem are a couple in this series, the majority of reviews aren't so positive and criticize the story's lack of growth. Since I haven't watched it yet, I can't give you my own view, but you are welcome to watch it on your own. Even Sun will end on August 3 and is available to watch on YouTube and iQiYi.

#6. UNFORGOTTEN NIGHT

    Unforgotten Night is something you ought to try watching if you enjoy Mafia shows. I now have to binge watch the first six episodes to determine whether this is something I should continue watching after last month's mistake of not doing so. Although the series' poor rating may deter some, many individuals are still finding enjoyment in this BL. Every Wednesday, Unforgotten Night is available to watch on YouTube.

#7. GAMEBOYS S2

    One of my favorite BLs from 2020 is Gameboys The Series, so its lovers will like the movie and season 2. In reality, season 2 is a mix of season 1, which saw certain characters communicate in front of the camera and engage with one another in person. This season's cast has improved their on-screen chemistry, and I can't wait to binge watch the entire season when it airs. Every Thursday, Gameboys Season 2 is available to watch on GaGaOOLala.

#8. MEMORY

    Memory is one of the high-caliber shows that Vietnamese Web BL Dramas are making, and it caught my interest. The fantasy-themed concept is actually rather intriguing, and I'm hopeful that further episodes will have greater production values to go along with the narrative. Every Thursday, Memory may be viewed on YouTube.

#9. SENPAI, THIS CAN'T BE LOVE!

    Senpai, This Can't Be Love is one of the BL series I'm presently watching, although there are currently just two episodes remaining. Although this BL isn't the finest Japanese BL I've seen, I still find it entertaining to watch for pleasure. I'm hoping that the series will have a fantastic ending with only two episodes left. The most recent episode might have been a drag, but the next one might make me think differently about this show. Every Friday, Senpai, This Can't Be Love is available on Viki and GaGaOOLala.

#10. WANT TO SEE YOU

    Want To See You is another Vietnamese BL drama on our list, and there are now just 5 episodes remaining to show. Even if the idea of a boss and a servant falling in love is intriguing, what would happen if one of them is blind? It intrigues me how a BL would make this work for the audience because I have never encountered this sort of plot in BLs before. Every Saturday, Want To See You is available to watch on YouTube.

#11. VICE VERSA

    It's one of my favorite BLs on this list, but after watching the most recent episode, I'm not so sure about the show anymore. While some GMMTV episodes have in the past subtly incorporated commercials, at the moment they are very blatant and don't mix in with some of the series' scenes to advance the plot. The first three episodes have already been watched, and the romance component is the main focus. However, Vice Versa may have been slightly better if it had started by focusing on the solution that would allow them to return to their original universe. This would make the plot a little more compelling for certain viewers because it would turn the show into a journey, but it isn't evident in the present episode. Anyway, I still enjoy this series and I hope it improves. Every Saturday, Vice Versa is available to watch on YouTube.

#12. LOVE MECHANICS

    This weekend, the series' finale will air. My favorite character in En of Love The Series is YinWar, and they are deserving of their own show. I won't mind seeing their fantastic works and shows because they have such excellent chemistry. WeTV is where you can watch Love Mechanics.

#13. ON CLOUD NINE

    This BL's trailer genuinely caught me off guard because it was so well-done and of such higher quality than others. An forthcoming BL series called On Cloud Nine has a depressing tone to it based on the trailer. I don't know what to anticipate from this one, but I have a feeling that it will shatter our hearts once it airs. On Cloud Nine will begin airing on YouTube on August 9.

#14. THE ECLIPSE

    This BL reminds me a lot of Not Me, but in a school environment. This new trailer, which piques my curiosity in the enigmatic characters of this series, is actually better than the initial teaser that was released seven months ago. It appears that The Eclipse is the BL of 2022—something we weren't expecting to happen but which will provide the ultimate experience. Starting on August 12, The Eclipse will be available on GMM25 and VIU.

    I won't bother you with a summary of the future BLs for the month of August because I previously covered it in a separate blog. The remaining 10 BLs for this month are shown below:

#15. WAR OF Y THE SERIES (AUGUST 2)

    People, not weapons, are what actually wage war. This depicts the sense of a conflict blazing with cunning, hatred, and treachery. Four stories about conflicts in the entertainment industry make up War of Y. Story 1 - New Ship: Prior to the ship, it was difficult. Yet this new period is much more challenging. Story 2 - War of Managers: The story of an on-screen pair who are secretly an actual relationship. Drama and managers conflict until the pair is forced to split up. Story 3 - Y-Idol: The turmoil of the Idol Camp and a realistic hunt for fresh performers who can sing, dance, and act. Story 4 - Wife: Will a shipped couple's career in this field be damaged if one of them gets married?

#16. 21 DAYS THEORY (AUGUST 7)

    Have you ever been given 21 days to confess your love to someone? Based on a real-life instance of a secretly in love person.

#17. PAPA AND DADDY SEASON 2 (AUGUST 8)

    Season 2 opens with an unexpected visitor Jimmy, the child of Damian and his ex, continuing the narrative of a 4-year-old boy named Kai and his two fathers, Damian and Jerry. Damian and Jerry's lives become turbulent when Jimmy shows around. Damian looks after Jimmy a lot and maintains contact with his ex. Jerry begins to feel envious and concerned that Damian could develop feelings for a woman once more. He is currently under pressure from his mother, who wants him to have a biological kid of his own. Damian, on the other hand, is having trouble juggling caring for Jimmy and Jerry. How can they overcome all the challenges and keep their bond with one another and their family intact?

#18. MY ONLY 12% (AUGUST 12)

    The likelihood that the person we love will also love us back is 12 percent. Even though Cake and See-ew have quite distinct personalities, they remain close. Cake travels, and upon his return, discovers that See-ew has changed. The fact that many people are drawn to and approach See-ew makes Cake envious. Cake starts to doubt his affection for See-ew. In addition to the relationship difficulty, See-ew is dealing with a familial issue. See-ew's mother is sick, and he subsequently learns that she has cancer since her spouse exposed her to secondhand smoking. See-ew has resentment against his father because of this. However, Cake is constantly at his side as they navigate all the challenges. See-ew comes to the realization that Cake is not only half of his existence, but rather the all of everything.

#19. 180° LONGITUDE PASSES THROUGH US (AUGUST 15)

    Director Sasiwimol has had enormous success. She has a close, friend-like relationship with her teenage son Wang. What will she do when Wang falls in love for the first time with her longtime friend Inthawut? In this age of change, love, connections, understanding, and mother and son sharing lessons learned are important. A friendship will be changed for good.

#20. TAKARA AND AMAGI (AUGUST 19)

    Taichi Amagi, a pure lad who is not a noticeable type but is loved by everyone, and Takara Shun, a high school student who is a member of a popular group in the class, come to discover their love for one another. Even when they begin dating secretly, it is challenging to be open.

#21. LOVE IN THE AIR (AUGUST 18)

    When Rain and Sky, two close friends, are troubled by clouds in the sky and rain, it is Phayu and Prapai who rescue them and cause storms in their hearts in addition to being clever rescuers. In the pleasantly warm spring, scorching summer, lonesome autumn, and chilly winter, the fight of love is about to begin. What would the mood of love be like? Which direction would their beating hearts and the adoration-filled atmosphere lead them?

#22. ABOUT YOUTH (AUGUST 29)

    Ye Guang is a preeminent high school student and a well-known campus idol, while Xu Qi Zhang is a guitar prince who, offstage, reveals a stronger sense of self. The two lads come from different origins and hold different ideals, but as they face off in the race to become the student president, it appears that there may be more attraction than hostility between them.

#24. GHOST HOST GHOST HOUSE

    Pluem, a young man who makes up for his lacking emotions, and Kawin, a live streamer who wants to see ghosts once. You must accept the evidence that "love" truly has the power to numb all suffering as positive emotions grow.
