So far, the 9 Best Supernatural BL Series
So far, the 9 Best Supernatural BL Series
Because I'm a scaredy cat, Halloween is probably my least anticipated occasion every year, and ghost stories don't sit well with me owing to my overactive imagination. But, in the spirit of doing a Halloween special, I've created a blog featuring some of the finest horror and supernatural BL series and movies you should watch this Halloween! If you have any other suggestions, please leave them in the comments area below. Let's get started without further ado!
#1. He She It
It's a horror mini-series with three episodes, so binge-watching isn't an issue for people with limited time. This is the first time we've seen Jeff act in a BL drama, and his chemistry with Gameplay is off the charts. Even though I enjoy his new BL partner, I would like to see him in a full-fledged series with Gameplay if there is a possibility in the future with a different genre than Ingredients. He She It tells the narrative of Mike and Peem, who appear to be best friends from the start. But their connection transforms following a kiss that haunts Mike for the rest of his life. According to what I've watched on fast forward, the series only had a little budget for production, but based on the reviews, the plot is worth it. He She It is available on YouTube.
#2. The Blue Hour
Prior to the arrival of OffGun in Puppy Honey in 2016, The Blue Hour had a different on-screen coupling OabGun in 2015. I initially heard about this film a few years ago and had planned to see it until I saw the trailer. I was terrified by it and never viewed it again until today due of its weird atmosphere. According to the critics, this film may be perplexing, but it is absolutely worth seeing. Tam, a mistreated adolescent, befriends Phum at a spooky abandoned pool in The Blue Hour. Their relationship began well, but quickly devolved into a darker situation. The Blue Hour is available to view on Amazon Prime Video and GagaOOLala.
#3. After Sundown
It's unfortunate that we won't be able to witness ZeeNuNew's new series later this year due to the postponement, but we did receive a horror film from them this year. We've become accustomed to their romantic comedy shows, so a horror film is a refreshing break. After Sundown depicts the narrative of Phloeng, a young guy who is cursed with disasters in the near future, but his soulmate prevents this from happening. Phloeng's family chooses Rawi, not caring if he's a guy as long as the disasters stop. However, while Rawi remains in their home, he is tortured by dreams and visited by a spirit. Will their lives be peaceful? There are currently no official streaming platforms, although it is expected to be available on Netflix very shortly.
#4. Dear Doctor
Unlike the previous BL shows I described, this BL series focuses on a supernatural theme involving death and the grim reaper rather than ghost stories. Because of its unusual premise, it was one of the underestimated BL dramas of 2022. Dear Doctor tells the story of Dr. Prakan, a well-known surgeon who sees a grim reaper whenever he attempts to rescue a patient. When a grim reaper appears, he already knows he has been vanquished by fate. He has a difficult decision to make between his mission of protecting lives and his love affections for the grim reaper. Dear Doctor, I'm Coming for Soul is available for viewing on iQiYi and YouTube.
#5. Something In My Room
This is one of the few BLs I haven't completed watching because I'm a scaredy cat, not because I don't enjoy it. Even though it's a rom-com supernatural BL, some of the scenes worried me. To be honest, I enjoyed the first few episodes since they presented a fresh perspective on ghost stories in a BL. Something In My Room tells the narrative of Phat, a newcomer to town who meets Phob, an amnesiac ghost who has forgotten how he died. Phob will become an evil spirit if the two do not discover the riddle of his death within 49 days. This seems promising; however, I don't have somebody to watch it with. Something In My Room is available to watch on YouTube and Channel 3.
#6. Ghost Host, Ghost House
It's another Thai BL series that aired in 2022, and many people like it when it was still on the air. Even if drama has a ghost character, the main protagonists are not fighting evil spirits, so we may watch it. Ghost Host Ghost House tells the story of Kawin, a live streamer who enjoys taking on challenges such as ghost hunting. During one of his encounters, he meets Pluem, a young man who understands his grief. What may be the two's ultimate goal? Ghost Host Ghost House is available on YouTube.
#7. Peach of Time
If you're seeking for a pure romance with a touch of the otherworldly, Peach of Time is perfect for you. Because this BL is a partnership between South Korea and Thailand, Jimmy and Tommy are not the main pair in the series for the first time. Peach of Time depicts the narrative of Peach, a young Thai guy who travels to Korea to visit his buddy Yoon Oh. Peach quickly knows that something is wrong with his buddy and mother, but he later finds that Yoon Oh is already dead. What would Peach do with his affections for his pal, who is already a ghost, now that he is roaming as a ghost? Peach of Time is available on WeTv.
#8. Red Wine in the Dark Night
This BL movie may have received poor reviews on the internet, but I enjoyed it despite the fact that the whole show was bizarre. I've never questioned Fluke as an actor, and this film demonstrated his exceptional talent. Wine, a young guy with an angelic body, meets Night, a monster of the night – a Vampire — in Red Wine in the Dark Night. The two have a particular affinity, and their feelings build until they reach the point of no return. This BL film is unquestionably entertaining. Some countries can watch Red Wine in the Dark Night on Netflix.
#9. Shadow
As an added treat, the first episode of Shadow, another Thai BL series with a horror theme, aired last night. This BL series is unquestionably appropriate for Halloween!
I'm not a fan of horror movies or shows, but some of them are incredibly intriguing to watch if you're alone; you just need a lot of confidence to do it. Which of these terrifying BLs is your favorite? Thank you for taking the time to read this! That's all for now; see you on the next one.
