9 Best Upcoming BL Series in 2024-2025.

In this blog, we will discuss nine new upcoming BL series from 2024 to 2025! Without further ado, let us dive straight into the blog.

#1. Happy Ending

It's unusual for a BL drama to have a thriller genre since, as we all know, these shows can't always go together when it comes to romance scenes. However, this might change when Happy Ending premieres next year, as this new drama is setting a high standard for production excellence. BL fans may like the adorable and light plots of romantic comedy series, but it's also wonderful to see a distinct BL drama every now and again that's obviously on a different level. According to what I've seen from the official pilot, we're going to see a BL series that we've never seen before, which is quite exciting for us because this is all new to us. Another thing, it's Jeff and Barcode's comeback since their hit series "KinnPorsche" in 2022, and it's about time to offer us the wonderful story we deserve. We've been hoping to see them in another full-fledged BL for two years now, and something like this is a fantastic treat for BL fans. I'm curious by Jeff's character and how the story will develop the connection between him and Barcode, so that's another reason to watch this show. The cast is all really skilled and great, and the production quality just adds to the excitement. It's only the series' official pilot, but I'm already intrigued by what will happen, so I hope we're not disappointed when it becomes available. Hopefully, we'll see more of the same quality in future BL shows. So far, Happy Ending is set to air sometime next year.

#2. Your Sky

Since I saw the official pilot of this drama, I couldn't keep my gaze away from it because of the adorable main couple. I've seen a lot of beautiful faces in the BL industry, but there's something about their chemistry that I'd like to see in the actual series. The plot isn't anything I'd get excited about, like "Happy Ending of Jeff Satur," but like any great romantic comedy BL, I'm looking forward to seeing how the drama is executed and how the series showcases the chemistry of its cast. Because it is from Mandee, we may expect it to be released later rather than sooner, as they have a history of releasing intriguing official pilots but not full series. I simply hope that this series will premiere sometime this year.

#3. Wish You Luck

Almost two years after the series' initial teaser, I'm still waiting for the day when this series will premiere on air. I'm enthusiastic about this because the story is fairly solid and the visual effects are impressive for a series. There is also a new on-screen coupling, which is as thrilling. According to several remarks, the series is back on track for a 2025 release date, and while it has been postponed, it has not been canceled.

#4. Spare Me Your Mercy

When Manner of Death and Triage first aired a few years ago, they both provided us with excellent stories. This time, we're getting another serialized novel from Sammon, and watching the teaser made me realize how much I want to see it already. Aside from the exciting story of this series, I'm interested to witness a new partnership between Tor and JJ. Both actors have amazing acting talents, and I hope their chemistry shines through the whole series, despite the fact that it is a thriller-mystery series. The series began filming last month, and I'm hoping to see it later this year or early next year.

#5. Goddess Bless You From Death

Even since then, I've been open about my hatred for horror shows since they keep me up at night. The spirits and strange emotions in the teaser have already convinced me to forgo this series, but there's also a part of me that wants to discover what the mystery is. Pavel and Pooh both appear better in this one in terms of acting performance, but we'll see how it transfers to the actual show. I'm delighted that this series has a unique story, but I'm also concerned that it will haunt my nightmares at night. Let us hope that this drama begins filming soon; else, we may see it next year.

#6. Khemjira

This lineup includes not only one, but two horror BL dramas, as well as Khemjira, which seems good. To be honest, when I first saw the official pilot, I was immediately pulled to Keng's character simply because he is so attractive. His expressive eyes have encouraged me to watch this series, even if it has not yet been released. Another thing, the story is unique enough to keep me interested in what happens in the series. If I had one complaint about this series, it would be that the official pilot appears to have already set out the whole story, although there may be surprises in the actual series. Because it is a BL from Mandee, we may expect this series to be released around the latter half of 2025, or possibly in 2026 if we are unlucky.

#7. Your Dear Daddy

The official pilot began darkly, but evolved into a mature scene before transitioning to romantic comedy. The plot of the show may not be very unique in comparison to other BL shows presently airing, but I'm looking forward to Fluke's return to the BL scene. The last time we had him in a major role was in "The Shipper," and unfortunately, GMMTV couldn't find an appropriate BL for him to be a part of, so he left the agency. Fortunately, we are receiving a new BL with him as the main character, and I believe his role as a young affluent guy fits his attitude and body. Based on the official pilot, the main couple's chemistry appears to be fairly excellent, but we'll see if that remains the case after the series premieres. So far, Your Dear Daddy hasn't filmed anything, so I'm hoping this comes out sooner rather than later.

Aside from these new BL dramas, I'm looking forward to two additional upcoming shows.

#8. Connecting To You

A Taiwanese BL drama about a man who can view another person's relationships with others. I'm simply hoping that this series is as good as Unknown or even better.

#9. Soul Mate

Netflix produced a Japanese drama series that stars a well-known Korean actor (Ok Teac Yeon). Some sources claim it's a BL, while some say it's a bromance, so we'll simply confirm it when it airs.

These next BL dramas might not come out in a month or two, but there are things we can look forward to that will keep us intrigued. Which new BL dramas do you intend to watch whenever they air? Thank you for reading! That's it, and I'll see you on the next one.
