A New Story of Love Awaits — BL Series Coming in 2026

How can we stay focused on today’s BL lineup when thrilling news about what’s next keeps unfolding before us? This blog dives into the latest upcoming BL series, offering a glimpse of what each story promises to bring. Without further delay, let’s step into what’s coming next.

#01. THE SUN FROM ANOTHER STAR

It feels like only yesterday we were immersed in Beside the Sky, and now—just like that—we’re being welcomed back into its universe through another spin-off, Fourever You Part 2. The excitement is undeniable. BL stories that weave in ghosts have always had a special pull on me, and this one feels particularly compelling. The official trailer caught me off guard at first, but the initial shock quickly gave way to the unmistakable chemistry between the two leads. With familiar faces returning, it’s intriguing to see how the narrative evolves as the focus shifts to Arthit and Dao.
The Sun From Another Star centers on Daotok, a gifted and artistic boy who possesses the ability to communicate with spirits. Reluctantly drawn into Arthit’s search for his late mother’s wandering soul, the two find themselves navigating the boundary between the living and the dead—only to discover that something deeper is quietly awakening between them. The series premieres on March 4 on WeTV, and it’s already shaping up to be a hauntingly beautiful journey worth following.

#02. ONLY FRIENDS: DREAM ON

At first, I genuinely thought this new season might ease up compared to its predecessor—but one full trailer later, and that illusion completely shattered. It’s just as chaotic, volatile, and emotionally reckless as ever. While Boston may no longer take center stage, Mix steps in with an eerily familiar energy, effortlessly stirring tension and destabilizing relationships like a spark thrown into dry grass. And yes, we’re once again plunging headfirst into betrayal and fractured trust—because let’s be honest, that emotional devastation is exactly why we’re here.
Overall, this upcoming BL feels bold, intense, and downright electric. Every interaction crackles with conflict, and I already know I won’t survive the emotional fallout unscathed. Only Friends: Dream On follows a group of drama, directing, art, music, and dance majors trapped in a volatile mix of ambition, rivalry, casual entanglements, and raw vulnerability. As Jack directs his ex, Dean, in a highly coveted role that Raffy desperately wants, tensions spiral—especially when Dean manipulates Jack’s younger brother Rome to sabotage Raffy. Meanwhile, beneath the spotlight of their Romeo & Romeo stage production, Tua quietly grapples with his unspoken feelings for lead actor and dancer Arnold.
Only Friends: Dream On premieres on February 27 on YouTube, and if the trailer is any indication, we’re in for another beautifully destructive ride.

#03. LOVE LIKE A BIKE

It’s been over a year since the official pilot first surfaced, so finally receiving updates about this series feels incredibly satisfying. Even without a full trailer yet, anticipation continues to quietly build as its premiere draws closer next month. I’ll admit—my excitement burned brightest when I first watched the pilot, but over time it dimmed slightly, likely due to the absence of strong or consistent promotion. The recent cast change also adds a layer of uncertainty, making it intriguing to see whether this new dynamic will enhance or alter the show’s overall tone.
Love Like A Bike tells the story of three adopted brothers of different nationalities—Nubnueng, a devoted psychiatrist; Thawi, a warm and easy-going airline captain; and Third, a former cadet carrying the weight of heartbreak. Though not bound by blood, their bond is unshakable. As each of them wrestles with love, intimacy, and unresolved emotional scars, their relationships are challenged by buried feelings, unexpected connections, and lingering pain from the past. Love Like A Bike premieres on March 2, promising a quietly emotional journey centered on chosen family and healing hearts.

#04. ALWAYS MEET AGAIN

The time-travel premise instantly brought Once Again to mind—a series that left many of us emotionally shattered by its ending. This upcoming show, however, appears to take a softer, more hopeful approach, hinting at a story that may offer healing rather than heartbreak. While two teasers have already been released, the lack of English subtitles makes it difficult to fully grasp their emotional weight. For now, all we can do is wait for the official trailer in the coming days to better understand the direction this story will take.
The series follows Jang Hye Seong, a celebrated painter who is mysteriously pulled back into his high school years after rediscovering an old sketchbook—and redrawing his first love, Lee U Jin. Armed with the pain of hindsight, Hye Seong resolves not to repeat the mistakes of the past and tries to keep his distance. Yet fate has other plans. As U Jin steadily closes the gap between them, the two are offered a rare second chance—to confront what was left unsaid and possibly rewrite the ending of a love story that was never truly finished.

#05. LOST TO LIGHT

Watching the official pilot feels less like a traditional romance and more like a full-on comedy—and honestly, that works in its favor. The humor gives the story a refreshing lightness, making the experience unexpectedly fun. There are also a few familiar faces sprinkled throughout the cast, even if they’re not front and center, which adds an extra layer of excitement as we anticipate how their chemistry will unfold on screen.
After their idol group’s sudden fall from grace and looming disbandment, Jeng chooses loyalty over escape, standing firmly beside Boss Sithian as they attempt an unlikely comeback. Together, they assemble a new lineup, including Mai—an artsy guitarist secretly planted by the label chairman with a mission that goes beyond music: winning Jeng’s heart. As Sithian turns to his successful ex, Bailiu, for help in saving the struggling label, emotions collide with ambition. With careers, relationships, and unresolved feelings all tangled together, both the group’s future and Jeng’s heart are left hanging in a delicate balance.

#06. THE GRIM LOVER

Details about this series are still scarce, as the official pilot keeps the plot tightly under wraps—but as a fan of fantasy-themed BLs, that hasn’t dimmed my excitement one bit. A romance between a grim reaper and a doctor is already enough to hook me, and I’m hopeful that the writing, acting, and execution will live up to the intriguing premise.
The story follows a man consumed by grief after losing his lover in a tragic accident. In his despair, he attempts to end his own life, only to be repeatedly stopped by a Grim Reaper who bears an uncanny resemblance to him—and whose fate is mysteriously entwined with his own. As the truths behind death and the accident slowly come to light, their connection deepens, guiding him toward healing, understanding, and a renewed will to embrace life once more.

#07. CLASS CRUSH CRISIS

Watching the official pilot, this series immediately brought to mind classic BLs from a decade ago, like Make It Right. Maybe it’s the lively cast, the high school setting, or the sweet, innocent puppy-love vibes—but it captures that nostalgic charm while giving it a modern polish and far superior production quality. From the very first scene, I was hooked—not just by the story itself, but by the undeniable chemistry of the main couple. Their fresh, natural performances make it even more captivating, and I’m eager to see how their relationship evolves from enemies to friends, and eventually, to lovers.
The series follows Lee-ith, an aspiring indie rock musician who transfers to a newly co-ed school with a firm rule: no romance should interfere with friendship. But when he clashes with his studious roommate, Putter, unexpected feelings begin to surface, challenging his self-imposed boundary. With its mix of humor, heart, and budding romance, this series promises a fun, heartfelt journey—and if the pilot is anything to go by, it’s off to a strong start.

#08. THE CROW CLUB

Much like the enigmatic characters in this new Thai BL, the official pilot left me with more questions than answers—but honestly, that only fuels my curiosity. The series follows four main couples over 16 episodes, with each character carrying a unique story waiting to be uncovered. It’s especially compelling to trace their pasts and discover how they all became part of the Crow Club, which adds remarkable layers of depth to the narrative.
The Crow Club is a sanctuary for society’s misfits—social outcasts who have each endured pain, rejection, and past failures. Within this unconventional family, they find belonging and purpose, taking on bizarre and offbeat jobs for equally unusual clients. In the process, they carve out a world where they are finally seen, understood, and accepted, making every twist and turn of their journey worth following.

Lately, the flood of new BL series announcements makes it almost impossible to keep up—but that just makes the wait for each premiere even more exciting! Out of all the upcoming BLs on this list, which one has piqued your interest the most? Thanks so much for reading, and I’ll see you in the next update!
