SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 3 OF THE BAD BUDDY SERIES

SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 3 OF THE BAD BUDDY SERIES

Hello, my name is Monsieur Daniel, and I'd like to welcome you back to my blogs. Bad Buddy's second episode aired last Friday, and I believe the series is off to a terrific start given the narrative it picked. There were a lot of ideas running through my brain after viewing the second episode, and I'd want to hear your comments on the series as well. In this blog, I'll discuss some of the contrasts between the series and the novel, as well as possible sequences from the novel that the series could adapt, and, of course, some spoilers based on the novel. Just a friendly reminder that these spoilers might happen or not, so take them with a grain of salt. Let's get started without further ado.

Episode 2: My Thoughts

The majority of the comments and thoughts I've seen so far about Bad Buddy have been favorable and encouraging to others to watch the series. If I had to choose, I'd say I'm really liking this BL, despite the fact that the narrative is a little cliched at this stage. It's not a terrible thing, because formulaic stories are used not just in BL series, but also in other genres. The performance of the major characters, particularly Ohm and Nanon, in the early episodes of this series is something I truly love. They're both fantastic performers when it comes to capturing the correct emotions and facial expressions for specific sequences. I'm not concerned by the battle sequences because they're important to the storyline and necessary to keep the tale moving forward. Ohm and Nanon's chemistry is also a chef's kiss, and I wasn't expecting their pairing to be quite so fantastic when the trailer was initially released. I'm hopeful that the upcoming episodes will continue to highlight their fantastic connection, allowing the plot to progress.

The Pavilion Scene Didn't Appear In The Book

If you've read the novel version of Bad Buddy, you'll know that the narrative of Episode 3 next week, including the broken pavilion, was not included in the novel. In actuality, the story concentrates mostly on Pat and Pran's school activities in relation to their thesis, rather than on other topics. Aside from that, the novel has a lot of battle scenes between the two gangs, so the screenplay writer may wish to skip some of them to get to the next narrative. The pavilion scenario that we'll see in the upcoming episode might be the storyline selected to twist the tale by forcing Pat and Pran to work together and get closer to one another.

Pat resented Wai and was envious of him.

If you remember back two weeks, the first episode of Bad Buddy had Wai being hunted by Pat and his crew. I'm not sure if that was just an underlying scenario for the series or if it was specifically created for Pat's character development later on. Pat was once so envious of Wai that he knocked him down as a result of his rage. Pat knocked down the bottle of water on the table as Pran and Wai were eating a dinner on the central. This enraged Wai, prompting Pran to intervene between the two before the instructor could witness them fighting. Pat and his crew were observed punching several of Pran's juniors in an area, despite the fact that the fight was stopped before it started. Pran and Wai rushed to the scene, sparking yet another brawl between the two groups. Pran had already seen Wai unconscious on the ground when he glanced at him. Pran glanced at Pat as well, and he thought to himself that he was a different person on that particular moment.

Pat confided in Pran that he was envious of him.

Because the story isn't told from both characters' perspectives, it's far more difficult to deduce their sentiments only from their acts against one another. Unlike the series, the novel revealed early on that Pat liked Pran by naming him "My Precious Pran" on his thoughts. There were other instances where Pat addressed Pran as if he were his boyfriend, despite the fact that the feud between their gangs was still ongoing. Pran would have feelings for him as well, but not to the extent that Pat does in the story. Pat was so enraged when he saw Pran with someone else that he drank so much that he became inebriated. Because he was so inebriated, Pat was robbed by the cab he hired to take him home. Pat decided to contact Pran for assistance, and the latter responded quickly, despite the fact that it was already 2 a.m. Pran scrubbed Pat's body in his room to calm him down. Pat admitted to Pran in that scene that he feels envious anytime Pran is close to anyone, even his group. Pat simply wanted Pran to be good for him and not for anybody else. Pran, of course, refused to accept it and instead branded Pat a lunatic. Pat eventually fell asleep on Pran's lap.

Pat was chased away by Pran.

Pat was like a different person when he beat Wai during an altercation between their groups, as I previously stated. Pran was taken aback by what he witnessed that day. To be clear, Wai is Pran's best buddy in this situation. Pran defends his closest buddy while he is in a perilous circumstance since they were friends before they went to university. That's also why Pat is so envious of Wai; unlike their other buddies, the two are truly close. Pat went straight to Pran's room after the fight to apologize for what had transpired before. Pat also wanted to discuss it in Pran's room, but Pran had previously stated that he didn't want to discuss it. Pran went inside his room to retrieve Pat's doll and hand it back to him. Pat said that Pran juniors instigated the fight, but Pran countered that he was always the sensitive one. Finally, Pran told Pat that he didn't want to see him again and that they should act like enemies since, after all, they are enemies. Pran didn't want to see Pat's eyes since he didn't want to feel anything, but Pat merely gazed at them with such intensity.

Bad Buddy is presently my favorite BL series, and I'm hopeful that as the weeks pass, this show will become even more beautiful and engaging. The series and the novel are very distinct from one another, and it's difficult to compare the two because they are both excellent in their own right. Again, these scenes from the novel may or may not appear in the series, but it's always good to have a different perspective on things. Thank you for taking the time to read this! That's all for now, and I'll see you on the next one.
