The 8 Most Anticipated BL Series in December 2021

The 8 Most Anticipated BL Series in December 2021

The year 2021 has provided us with a plethora of BL series to watch, and I can confidently say that I have loved the most of them. Some shows may fall short of fans' expectations, but we must remember that we are still in the midst of a pandemic, and these BL are being impacted. There are still a lot of BL programs coming out in the last month of the year that could catch your eye. We'll feature a list of forthcoming BL series, as well as some existing programs, on our blog for the month of December. Before anything else, don't forget to leave a comment below with your current favorite BL series. Let's get started without further ado.

#1. Bad Buddy

It's been over 5 weeks since the first episode aired, and I can confidently state that it's my personal favorite of the BL series on this list. Bad Buddy is far from flawless, but the sheer number of emotions it elicits in each episode is something I can't help but notice. The primary characters' portrayals of their roles are absolutely great, and their acting is truly genuine. Those who have read the novel version of this series may be perplexed as to why the program has a different narrative, but I think they simply want to keep us guessing. If you're reading this blog right now, Bad Buddy may already be on episode 5, and I believe that's where their sentiments begin to surface. Every Friday through January 14th, Bad Buddy may be seen on GMMTV's YouTube account, Line TV, and WeTV.

#2. My Beautiful Man

This Japanese BL series debuted last week and is already on its second episode. Some territories can watch My Beautiful Man on WeTV, while others can view it on GagaOOLala. My Beautiful Man, like the previous episodes, is based on the novel "He, Who is Beautiful," a Japanese BL that chronicles the narrative of two high school students. The first student doesn't say much, has no friends, and is at the bottom of their class, but the second student is dubbed "the King" since he doesn't hang out with anybody, is merciless, and rules the class. My Beautiful Man is a six-episode series that airs every Thursday.

#3. Komorebi

This Taiwanese BL is a forthcoming BL film that will be released on December 17th, albeit it is unclear if it will be released internationally or solely in Taiwan. Komorebi depicts the story of a gay guy who has a secret relationship with his partner. When the same-sex marriage bill is passed in Taiwan, our main character will embark on a journey of coming out to his family. It's actually a wonderful thing that production firms make films like this in order to convey the challenges of LGBTQ+ people in the community. I'm hoping that this film will also be released in other countries.

#4. Paint With Love

This Thai BL will begin on November 26 and will run for 8 episodes till January 14. After their past BL ventures, Tae and Singto will return to a BL series with Paint With Love. This BL follows Phab, an abstract painter hired by Maze to paint for a celebrity's wedding. Phab will have to work for Maze in order to clear his debts as a result of an accident he caused. As an employee and a supervisor, their strained relationship will blossom into something far more meaningful. International fans may watch Paint With Love on GagaOOLala, while Thai fans can watch it on Pops TV.

#5. Love With Benefits

This Thai BL has been running since November 1 and will run for ten episodes till January 3. The film Love With Benefits depicts the story of three young guys who would live together for ten days. Love and mutual benefits will blossom in secret as a result of this circumstance. On Line TV, you can watch Love With Benefits.

#6. Baker Boys

Despite the fact that Baker Boys cannot be labeled a BL due to prior adaptations, we can claim that it is a fantastic program to watch in addition to our favorite BL dramas. The film Baker Boys tells the story of four men who work in a well-known bakery. Punn is the proprietor of the aforementioned bakery as well as the son of a billionaire. One of the reasons the bakery is successful is because of Weir's moniker, "God of Pastry." He's also quite attractive to a lot of women, despite the fact that he's not interested in them. Another is Krathing, who works as an apprentice for Weir. Last but not least, there's Pooh. He is Punn's personal bodyguard and also works as a waiter, but not particularly well. Everything is well, but the bakery has its own mysteries, one of which is the disappearance of youngsters from his establishment. Every Wednesday and Thursday, Baker Boys may be seen on GMMTV's YouTube account, AIS Play, and GMM25. There will be 12 episodes of this drama, which will show through December 30.

#7. Between Us (Special)

There's no need to introduce this Thai BL. Despite the fact that the Between Us Special isn't the whole series that is expected to be released next year, many Win and Team fans are still enjoying snippets of their special sequences. Even though the special episodes are just 5 minutes long, I believe they will be plenty to keep fans excited until the regular series premieres next year. Studio Wabi Sabi has already published four specials, the most recent of which is only available to subscribers to their YouTube account.

#8. My Love Mix-Up

Despite the fact that I haven't watched it yet, I can tell that it's fairly innovative based on some of the BL fans' reactions to the episode. I'm really waiting for the series to complete airing so that I can watch it all in one sitting, given it only has ten episodes (plus the impending special episode). This romantic comedy Japanese BL, like Cherry Magic last year, will undoubtedly be a hit with many admirers. My Love Mix-Up might possibly be your favorite BL series for the BL awards this year. My Love Mix-Up is available on TV Asahi in Japan and Viki in the rest of the world. This BL will run till the 11th of December.

Aside from these BL dramas, another forthcoming Korean BL series, Tinted With You, will premiere on the Viki platform on December 23. Because the year 2021 is soon to finish, we'll be releasing our rating to the top of the BL series before the conclusion of the year. I'm very sure you already have a list of your favorite BL dramas, and I'm thrilled to share mine with you as well. Which of these BL dramas has you looking forward to December? Thank you for taking the time to read this! That's all for now, and I'll see you on the next one.
