SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 9 OF THE BAD BUDDY SERIES

SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 9 OF THE BAD BUDDY SERIES

With each passing week, Bad Buddy The Series becomes more and more fascinating. Episode 8 had a lot of romantic moments between Pat and Pran as well as some problems between the two, but in the end, both of them were able to work things out for their personal benefit. As I told you a few weeks ago, the series is taking a different path, thus the book content will no longer be relevant if you use it as a reference point for future episodes. These blogs will only explain the distinctions between a book and a series, as well as how those differences influence the final end of both works. Personally, I enjoy both the novel and the series because of the two distinct views of the characters, as well as the ability to see and envision various events. Let's get started without further ado.

My Opinions on Episode 8

As I already stated, Episode 8 provided us with a plethora of sweet Pat and Pran moments, and we are not complaining. We only got to see a glimpse of their relationship if they weren't spies and their families didn't hate each other to the core. We can observe the three primary conflicts of their tale in this episode: first, their friends are mortal foes, second, their families despise one another, and third, they are unable to express their feelings freely due to the first two factors. The final issue was settled at the end of the episode, despite the fact that they risked being discovered by their friends. To be honest, their friends' responses were quite predictable, given that they assumed Pat and Pran were bitter foes and competitors. Seeing their buddy having a romantic connection with his greatest adversary would perplex them, and they would feel betrayed after sparring with them several times. I had mixed feelings about this episode, not just because of the ending, but also because I sensed that the problems would start to emerge in the next three episodes. I'm starting to believe that I'm going to lose my mind for the next several weeks till Bad Buddy is over.

Pa and Ink

I mentioned them last week, but I believe I need to mention them again this week because of their new scenes. Wai had already backed out of attempting to hit on Pa since he knew she was Pat's younger sister, but he was still heartbroken. I used to believe Wai having a crush on Pa was a random moment, but now I see it was a method for Ink and Pa to come closer for each other. We saw Ink and Pa sharing a meal together in this episode, but the latter was a little awkward. I believe it was a sequence that hinted to Ink and Pa's eventual pairing in the series. With the way Pa looks at his brother and Pran making beautiful moments in the following episode, I believe Pa has a crush on Pran. This may be an excellent chance for Ink to assist her in realizing her true feelings for Pran.

Father of Pat

Episode 8 gives us a sneak peek at what's to come in future episodes, and this is only the beginning. We witnessed Pat's father discussing his son's decision to lie about joining the rugby squad. It's essentially a premonition of Pat's father doing a complete 360° and attempting to dominate Pat's decision-making. Although the moment in episode 8 wasn't very dramatic at the time, I'm confident that Pat's father will play a larger role in the story's conflict.

Friends of Pat and Pran

Pat and Pran's interactions with their pals don't appear to be going well in episode 9, which is concerning. When Pat's friends found out about their relationship in the novel, they were initially horrified, but eventually came to realize that Pat and Pran are happy together. The only logical situation that would bring the two parties together is for them to face a shared adversary, like in the novel. There's also a moment in episode 8 where Pat and Pran are both seen in a vehicle. Korn was the only character in the narrative who had any knowledge about Pat and Pran. It was the first time he encountered Pran in the same dorm as Pat. However, the series might alter it to Wai or perhaps Pat's father, and we can only wait to see what happens in the next episodes.

"I'll die too if our relationship ends..."

Just a reminder, this sequence is purely based on the novel and may not occur in the series at all, but it's for anybody curious about what happened in the book. Pat's mother, as I previously stated, desired Pat to have a partner in order to care for him. Pat was quite concerned about what had occurred and his connection with Pran as a result of what had occurred. Pat discussed his problem with Pa, who is unaware that the former is involved with Pran. Punch, Pa believed, would be a better person than Nat. Pat, on the other hand, stated that he was already dating someone. Pa had no idea what his brother was talking about because he had never seen him date anybody else. Pat confessed that his lover was a male, prompting Pa to inquire about her brother's sexual orientation. Pat went on to say that if a man who likes a man is labeled as gay, he agrees. Pa first assumed her brother was kidding, but soon realized he wasn't. Pat should just inform their mother that his lover was a male, she said. She also stated that it will not bother their mother as long as he is cared for. Pat's difficulty, though, is his relationship with Pran, whom his parents despise. Pat could merely chat about it with Pran and date Punch at the same time, according to Pa. Pat said that it would be hurtful to Pran, and that it would, of course, make him envious. Pat couldn't come up with a solution to his relationship dilemma with Pran in the end. He had it in his head that if their relationship ended, it would mean the end of his life as well. I'm starting to understand Pat's dilemma in this section of the narrative since he couldn't decide between Pran and his parents. Pat might just choose Pran, but their families' never-ending animosity would further exacerbate their predicament. I was also taken aback by Pa's advice to her brother to date both Pran and Punch at the same time. I'm not sure why the author structured that sequence that way, but I'm confident Pa won't be so irrational throughout the rest of the series.

The Rivalry Between Two Families

I'm not going to tell you all that happened in this scenario; instead, I'll just give you some of the information from the book. Pat was discovered by Pran's father trying to climb on their house, which sparked a feud between the two families. When Pat and Pran arrived at their separate homes about midnight, they decided to discuss their relationship. When Pran's father suspected that someone was attempting to break into their home, he pulled his revolver. Fortunately, Pran quickly identified himself as the one who wished to speak with Pat and summoned him. Following that encounter, the two returned to their dorms. The two families ran into one other in the foyer of their hostel on the same day. The two families were accused of each other and made disparaging remarks about each other. Pat's father urged him to return home, but Pat refused and insisted on staying. Pat's dormitory is the sole area where the two of them may freely enjoy one other's arms and adore each other. Because of all that had transpired, reading this scenario was chaotic, and it pained me to the core. I didn't anticipate the encounter in the book to be as ugly as it was, and I'm hoping that the series will tone it down.

Although the book version of Bad Buddy is a little more serious than the TV program, we were able to appreciate the sweet small sequences of Pat and Pran in the show. Whether or not these sequences appear in the series, I'm confident that the issues will occur sooner or later. What are your initial impressions of Bad Buddy? Thank you for taking the time to read this! That's all for now, and I'll see you on the next one.
