Top 10 BL Series 2022 in Fantasy/Supernatural/Mystery

 Top 10 BL Series 2022 in Fantasy/Supernatural/Mystery

The BL Series has long been noted for themes that centred around the lives of university students or, more often than not, romantic comedy stories. But, in the last few years, things have changed, and we've been happy to be introduced to new BL series in the realms of fantasy, supernatural, and mystery. In this blog, I'll share with you my top ten fantasy, supernatural, or mystery BL Series that have made me giggle in love. In the comments area below, feel free to submit your own list of favorite fantasy and supernatural BL series. Let's get straight into the blog without further ado.

#1. He's Coming To Me

Romantic Comedy BL Series are among of my faves, but with the additional twist of mystery and supernatural genre, it's the ideal series for me. Because it was unusual at the time of its airing, He's Coming To Me has always been one of my favorite BLs ever made. I never expected Ohm and Singto to provide outstanding performances throughout the series, and their relationship was clearly evident. Despite the fact that this BL was released in 2019, I still suggest it since it's a fantastic show.

#2. Cherry Magic

I suppose now is the best time to binge watch all 12 episodes of Cherry Magic because a movie sequel is coming out next month. Cherry Magic, like He's Coming To Me, is a mix of romance, comedy, and the supernatural, which added to the story's appeal. It wasn't flawless, but it was one of the greatest BLs released in the year 2020. The tale was light, yet the effect was still felt at the series' conclusion. The sequel to the film will continue their journey, but with a new twist: Adachi will have to transfer, posing a strain to their relationship. Cherry Magic is a one-of-a-kind.

#3. Peach of Time

Peach Of Time featured a plot that was similar to He's Coming To Me, but it had its own surprises. Peach Of Time, on the other hand, concentrated more on the story's drama and Yoon Oh's challenge to avoid becoming an evil ghost. The juxtaposition of Thai and Korean language was startling at first, but as the narrative went, it grew on me. Although the climax was unexpected, there were also joyous and lovely moments. Peach Of Time isn't the finest on the list, but it did a fantastic job in my perspective.

#4. Kissable Lips

When I found out that there will be a vampire BL series, I was ecstatic since I am a huge admirer of vampire stories. Regrettably, the story did not go into great detail on vampires, instead focusing solely on the romantic aspect. I believe it was owing to the short run time every episode and the fact that we couldn't really cram too many events into that time frame. The main characters' chemistry was also present, although I was perplexed by the villain's arrival. If only Kissable Lips had a longer run duration every episode, it may have been a better series. Anyway, I had a great time watching this one to the end.

#5. Tinted With You

Korean BLs have some of the most interesting concepts, however the tales frequently don't go into great detail and focus solely on the main characters. One of the best examples of this is Tinted With You. The premise of travelling back in time and changing the result appealed to me, but the narrative was too brief. It might be due to a financial constraint, but I honestly believed the plot had so much promise. Anyway, the historical fantasy plot in Tinted With You really stuck out for me.

#6. Until We Meet Again

When it comes to this genre, Until We Meet Again is unquestionably one of the top options. Because of how fantastic the tale was, we can never go wrong with viewing this series again. Although there were a lot of heavy drama sequences in Until We Meet Again, I believe they were necessary to keep the tale moving until the end. I'm hoping to meet Dean and Pharm again shortly after the release of Between Us in November.

#7. Trapped

I'm not a big fan of mystery action shows because I prefer light and romantic comedies, but History 3 Trapped was too good to pass up. Despite the fact that it aired about three years ago, it is still one of the finest BLs you can see today since it was truly a masterpiece. I'm hopeful that another History series with the same or even greater quality as History 3 Trapped will show this year.

#8. Color Rush

Color Rush was one of those Korean BLs noted for having innovative and distinctive stories. The first season of this BL may not have been up to pace with others on this list, but the overall tale was enjoyable. If we simply look at the main part of the tale, it was done well enough to support the plot, but we want to see more after the conclusion. I watched season 2, and according to several reviewers, the second season concentrated more on the mystery than the romance.

#9. Manner of Death

Despite the fact that this BL aired in 2020, it is still well worth viewing two years later. Since then, I've always considered Manner Of Death to be one of the most undervalued BL series of the previous two years, owing to the lack of attention it received from certain fans while being one of the greatest BLs out there. The mystery and romance genres for BL were previously unthinkable, but Manner Of Death changed that. Apart from that, the main characters' chemistry is clearly there throughout the series.

#10. Not Me

Although the show is still airing, it has already broken the record for the highest-rated series on the iMDb website. It's no wonder, given that the series is a masterpiece in every moment it presents. Despite the fact that GMMTV does not promote this series as much as some of their other shows, Not Me continues to trend every time a new episode airs on Sunday, indicating that fans are continually on the lookout for outstanding shows. Because of how excellent this series is, I'm still in amazement whenever I watch it. Given the absence of funds, it's on a completely other level. I'm looking for a fantastic conclusion in Not Me.

The industry is presently going forward in terms of innovation and uniqueness when it comes to stories, as seen by the popularity of Fantasy, Supernatural, and Mystery BL series. This was just a few of years ago one of my dreams: that the BL series would expand not only in quantity but also in quality. Which of these BL series is your favorite? Thank you for taking the time to read this! That's all for now, and I'll see you on the next one.
