I'm now watching six BL series (April 2022)

With the continued expansion of the BL series across the world, the competition for the greatest quality has never been more intense. There are a lot of ongoing BL series right now, but owing to time constraints or personal tastes, I can only watch 6 of them at a time. In this blog, I'll tell you about the six BLs that I'm now watching and my opinions on them. In the comments box below, you may also share your own thoughts about your watch list. Let's get straight into the blog without further ado.

#1. The Miracle of Teddy Bear

I've only been watching this BL series for about a week, but it has not disappointed me in the least. Because of its vibe and storytelling, I could instantly tell that the series is unlike any other on my watchlist after watching the first episode. The episodes are longer than other BL shows, yet I'm not bored while watching them. One thing I noticed about this BL is that it was shot in the middle to late of 2019, thus it's been almost three years in the making. I've been watching this series for the most of my free time for the past week, and I've already fallen in love with the characters. The main characters are doing well, albeit I don't agree with Nut's irritable attitude toward Tohu and his mother. Nut had done so many awful things to Tohu and his mother that I nearly despised him, but happily, in recent episodes, he has managed to open up a little bit. This BL covers a wide range of topics, including family concerns, homophobia, gender difficulties, and so on. I'd say that this series isn't only focused on the romance aspect, as the majority of the time is spent fleshing out the characters' backstories and histories. I'm still intrigued by how the plot will unfold, especially considering this BL is set in a fantasy world, and how everything will fall into place. The Miracle Of Teddy Bear will air its final episode next week, despite the fact that it premiered only a month ago.

#2. Star In My Mind

GMMTV's BL series have always been my faves, so having two GMMTV BLs at once this year is a fantastic thing. I never expected Star In My Mind to be this excellent, to the point that I wanted to watch all of the episodes right away. I just finished binge-watching this series yesterday, and I'm already impressed by the story's potential. Although this BL is another university-themed series, the main characters' relationship is what makes it so enjoyable. I absolutely appreciate the two main characters' personality, especially Khluen's. The series is more intriguing to watch because of his cold tone when speaking and his mystery demeanor. I'm particularly excited to see Fah's character since he might be the catalyst for Dao and Khluen's affections for one other. One thing I noticed about this series was how fast-paced it was, which is a good thing since we won't get bored watching some of the unneeded sequences. Overall, Star In My Mind is a promising BL series that is clearly on the right track.

#3. KinnPorsche

Waiting a week for a single episode is already torturous for all of us, but waiting two weeks for KinnPorsche Episode 3 is far worse. The first two episodes were fantastic, and this series stands out among the others on my watch list. KinnPorsche, being the only action romance BL on my watchlist, adds a unique flavor to my taste thanks to its abundance of wonderful sequences. But, considering we're on episode 3, we should expect a lot more from the narrative of this series. Our two main characters' chemistry is obviously evident, but we already know that this isn't the end of their love journey. KinnPorsche is a series that combines a distinct type of action with a love story.

#4. Cupid's Last Wish

Due to my hectic schedule, I've only seen two episodes of this series so far, but I'm really enjoying it. Despite the fact that this series features a body-swap narrative similar to The Shipper, it is vastly different in that we can witness two separate points of view. Earth and Mix have never failed to wow me with their acting abilities, particularly their on-screen chemistry. Although Win's disdain towards Korn made the first two episodes difficult to watch, there were some excellent moments between the two. Because this series only contains ten episodes, we may expect a fast-paced tale with a solid overall flow. Cupid's Last Wish and all of its episodes are already accessible on Disney+ Hostar Thailand.

#5. Cutie Pie

The most recent episode of this series that I saw was Episode 6, so I'm approximately three weeks behind on watching all of the episodes that are accessible online. I'm not going to remove this BL from my watchlist, but instead of watching a single episode every week, I'd want to watch a few of episodes. To figure out where the plot is headed, I'm going to binge watch the remaining three episodes. Cutie Pie is a series that you might want to watch to lift your spirits because of its light plot, but other people are criticizing it because of its toxicity. In any case, we all have different tastes, and we all have the right to criticize something.

#6. Dear Doctor

I've already seen the first three episodes of this show and have found it to be extremely entertaining. There were certain areas where the series might have done a lot better, such as plot consistency, but it's a nice series altogether. The idea of this series intrigues me, however the love story between the grim reaper and the doctor is overpowered by the subplot between the doctors or even flashbacks to their past. Dear Doctor should focus on what's truly going on between the main characters and the repercussions of their actions, rather than trying to be more rounded. But, because the whole episodes have yet to be released, I may be incorrect, so this is just my opinion.

So that's my current watchlist, but I'm intending to add Blueming to it as well as I haven't binge-watched it since last month. There are many additional BLs on the air right now that you should watch, like La Cuisine, What Zabb Man, Meow Ears Up, and many others. What BL Series are you watching right now? Thank you for taking the time to read this blog. That's all for now, and I'll see you on the next one.
