Spoilers for KinnPorsche Episode 10

 Spoilers for KinnPorsche Episode 10

It's been 5 months since my last spoiler blog with Bad Buddy The Series, and I'm excited to do more of them with KinnPorsche, my current favorite BL. I've been looking forward to this series since I first saw the first teaser since it's so different from the other BLs we've seen. Today, we are thoroughly enjoying every aspect of its plot and consider it to be one of the greatest productions in the industry. In this blog, I'll discuss the contrasts between the novel and the series, as well as what could happen in the upcoming episode. In the comments box below, feel free to share your opinions on the series and what you think could happen in the next episode. Let's get straight into the blog without further ado.

My Opinions on KinnPorsche

I've never done a blog just about KinnPorsche before, so I'd put down anything I have to say about it. Because the expectations for this series have been so high from the first teaser, I was scared that it would not live up to everyone's expectations and that it would fail due to production concerns. Fortunately, the series exceeds my expectations, and it is now my favorite BL owing to its incredible plot and production. KinnPorsche isn't just another love story to make us drool; it's a full bundle of everything we've been yearning for when we first started watching BL series. Though it isn't perfect, it much outperforms many previous shows and now stands as the benchmark for future BLs. I adore this series and am hoping for a lovely conclusion to its narrative.

University & Mafia

The plot itself is one distinction I've observed between the novel and the series. Kinn and Porsche are still university students throughout the novel, and there are several school moments that I believe are essential to the plot. Only one scene in the series has Porsche in his uniform with his pals, but the story eventually concentrates solely on their life as Mafia members. Because their love story in the novel concentrates around their life as students, there are a lot of scenes featuring Kinn and Porsche's friends, and they have a lot of interaction, which is different from the series. Although this distinction may not seem significant, it is worth noting that several events in the novel differ from those in the series as a result of it.

Tawan with his sibling

The only thing that both Tawan from the novel and Tawan from the series have in common is that they both cheated Kinn, albeit in different ways. Unlike his series counterpart, who solely used Kinn, Tawan comes from a well-known family in the novel. In the novel, he was more of a drama queen since he tried to influence Porsche by threatening to harm his brother if he didn't stay away from Kinn's life. Kinn and Tawan broke up because the latter was having an affair with another guy, and the experience caused Kinn to lose trust in everyone. Tawan traveled to England as well, but returned after such a long time to reconcile with Kinn. Tawan had a younger sibling in the novel who was also Kinn's old closest buddy, however the series is not adapting it.

The Secret of Big

I'm not sure whether the series will adapt this part, but in the novel, Big has a secret crush on Kinn and would always trash talk Porsche whenever he gets the opportunity. Not only that, but he has a connection with Tawan's brother, making him a traitor to Kinn's family. This might be a character from the series, but it could possibly be someone else. Since Big was the one who told Kinn's family that Tawan was a traitor, it's possible that this moment was staged to make us believe in his commitment to the family, even if it was all in their heads. Big also kissed Kinn in the novel when the latter was so drunk that he mistook him for Porsche. Big appears to have his own goal in that scenario, but we won't be so sure about his series counterpart.

Tankhun

In the most recent episode, Khun is the only one who makes sense, which is also true in the novel. Even with his relationship with Kinn, it was only Khun who backed Porsche when he was the lead suspect in a transaction done under the back of the main family. Because Kinn and Porsche were so attached to one another in the presence of so many people, most of them already suspected there was something between them. Khun even fought Tawan to express his support for Porsche, knowing that Tawan would do nothing to save his loving brother.

Porchay & Kim

Another distinction between the novel and the series is how Kim and Porchay were presented and their story as a whole. Porchay only made an interaction with Kim in a school in the series, but in the novel, the two met while the former resided with his brother in the main family's home. This was prompted by the kidnapping of Kinn and Porsche, as well as concerns that it may happen again. Korn decided to look after Porchay at their own home as well. At the end of book two, the two became closer and had a secret romance.

Spoilers for Episode 10

Disclaimer: Because the series is taking a different path than the novel, this may not happen at all, but there may be similar occurrences with just minor differences. Porsche was the leading suspect of the main family, just as it was in the series, because important records and private transactions had gone missing. Porsche was accused of working under the minor family by handing over private information because he was frequently spotted with Vegas recently. Kinn always told Porsche not to mess with Vegas as a result of this, but Porsche had no idea why. Kinn also suspected him of having an affair with Vegas, which drove Porsche nuts with anxiety. Porsche taught him that he was not trusted even by Kinn, which upset him tremendously. Porsche eventually left the main family and resigned as the head bodyguard, despite Pete's belief that Porsche is devoted to them, which would be confirmed in the following episode.

The book includes a lot of chapters, and reading them all while thinking about it is challenging. I like both the series and the novel, and they both told me the same story in two distinct ways. What are your impressions of the series thus far? Many thanks for taking the time to read this! That's it for this one, and I'll see you on the next one.
