Spoilers for KinnPorsche Episode 11
Spoilers for KinnPorsche Episode 11
The KinnPorsche story is nearing its conclusion, and I'm excited to see what happens next with our beloved and despised characters. The tenth episode was one of the most upsetting in the whole series, and the eleventh will go even farther. In this blog, I'll discuss my opinions on Episode 10, the contrasts and explanations of various sequences, and, of course, spoilers for next week's episodes regarding Vegas and Pete. If you have any thoughts on the current episode, please share them in the comments area below. Let's get straight into the blog without further ado.
My Opinions on Episode 10
Traumatizing. That's the greatest way to explain how I felt throughout this week's episode of KinnPorsche. I knew this BL would be different from the others, and that was clear in the first few episodes, but I never expected them to show us some terrifying moments to make us vulnerable. KinnPorsche is nearing its conclusion, and I know that scenes like this are required to enhance the story even higher. Even as a reader of the novel version, I was astounded by the left and right surprises. The novel inspired the most of the events, but the series has its own twist and narrative, making it a stand-alone masterpiece. With so much that happened in this episode, we're glad that Kinn and Porsche still had a lovely moment, but we don't know how long it will continue. Future episodes will undoubtedly focus on the VegasPete story, making it even more explosive than before.
Porchay & Kim (and his abduction)
Porchay was kidnapped in the story as well, although he wasn't with Kim at the time. This incident occurred when Porsche chose to break relations with the main family and resigned as their head bodyguard, returning to their previous home. When Porsche couldn't contact his younger brother by phone, he assumed Tawan had taken him as a result of his threat. Porsche was with his pals from the main family's guards in the story, and they wanted to know where Tawan was. Porsche then contacted Vegas to ask about Tawan's address, which the latter promptly provided. When Porsche got at the scene, he fought off the oncoming goons and asked about Tawan's brother. Porchay, on the other hand, was ready to be r-worded when Tawan's brother intervened. Thankfully, the series did not adapt this scene because reading it in the novel was terrifying enough. Kim and Porchay's relationship seemed convincing in the novel, but we'll have to wait and see if Kim has a secret agenda towards Porchay in the series.
Pete's Purpose
Pete's mission in the series began with him wanting to prove Porsche's innocence while also gathering evidence against Vegas and the minor family. In the novel, however, it was Kinn who requested Pete's help in gathering evidence in order to bring Vegas down. On both materials, the purpose was the same, but the specifics were vastly different. Pete had to make sure he knew every inch of the home before penetrating with the help of his friends and Khun, according to the book. Pete was able to obtain a lot of concealed information about the minor family and had it sent to Kinn on the day of his mission. He also managed to break into Vegas's bedroom and gain access to his computer. Pete even watched some of Vegas' personal videos with all of Kinn's exes. Pete wasn't actually caught by the main family's traitor, but by Vegas himself, who had hidden in a large wardroom within his room.
Traitor in the Family
This is the series' main twist, and it's completely different from the novel. As you may know, the character of Ken was just in the series and not in the novel. I had a sneaking hunch that the traitor would be Ken rather than Big, but because the latter was usually in conflict with Porsche, I assumed they would maintain Big as the traitor. On the other side, both materials maintained Big's affections for Kinn, despite the fact that it wasn't disclosed until Episode 10 when he was ready to die.
Vegas & Tawan
Another unexpected twist in Episode 10 was Tawan's relationship with Vegas, which was more of an unrequited love. Vegas made love to Tawan when he was still with Kinn in the novel in order to get revenge on his cousin. Apart from Tawan's hidden aim of exploiting Kinn's family, he was smitten with Kinn throughout the story. However, Tawan fell in love with Vegas in the series version, which is also a wonderful narrative surprise for the show. Although there are variations between the novel and the series in this part, Tawan and Vegas' relationship stays the same.
Spoilers for Episode 11
We can see from the preview for Episode 11 that it will be more focused on the story of Vegas and Pete, so we should be prepared for that arc. To be honest, the novel version of their narrative was really difficult to read owing to several toxic sequences, primarily due to Vegas' cruel disposition. Pete will learn about Vegas' true attitude and how he despised the world, particularly his father and the main family, in this arc. After being caught, Pete received a lot of abuse from Vegas, including being called the r-word a few times. Pete was tied with a chain attached to the bed's headboard in order to prevent him from escaping Vegas. When Pete was unable to find a way out, he reasoned that if he attempted to be submissive to Vegas, the latter would ultimately grow tired of him and release him. But that simply piqued Vegas' interest in him a little more. Finally, the novel revealed that Pete is a masochist, even though Vegas could only glimpse a trace of it on occasion. Pete could sense it at first as well, but he couldn't put his finger on it. Pete despised Vegas so much in the days following his capture that he swore himself that whenever he was free, he would murder him. However, as Pete becomes more aware of the real Vegas and his circumstances in the minor family's home, it progressively diminishes. Vegas was developing feelings for Pete as well, because Pete is the only person who understands him. Aside from the VegasPete storyline, the book also had Kinn throwing a surprise birthday party for Porsche with the help of their pals. It was also revealed that the thing Kinn forgot about was really Pete, despite Kinn's assumption that he returned to his province soon after completing his mission.
There are still a lot of events and scenes in the last four episodes that I'm looking forward to seeing in person. I was hoping that the series would tone down the VegasPete narrative, but given what happened in the most recent episodes, I expect it to be just as crazy. What are your thoughts on Episode 10? Thank you for stopping by! That's all for now, and I'll see you on the next one.
