The 12 BEST BL Fantasy Series That Will Have Us SCREAMING!

The 12 BEST BL Fantasy Series That Will Have Us SCREAMING!

Although we still like the early years of the BL Series, the supernatural and fantasy-themed BLs have been increasingly popular in recent years. The reason this genre is dearest to my heart is that it pushes writers' imaginations to the limit and inspires them to produce works that have never been seen before. The 12 finest BL series with supernatural and fantasy themes that will undoubtedly make us scream because of their magical love tales will be included in this blog. Share your favorite BLs from the fantasy genre in the comments section if you have one. Let's start the blog straight now without further ado.

#1. Triage (2022)

It goes without saying that this BL is on this list because to its exceptional storyline. Triage deserves a lot of respect for giving us a new plot that we haven't seen in quite some time. Triage depicts the tale of Tin, an emergency room doctor who lost interest in saving people's lives when his sister was tragically died in an accident. A young man's life was once in danger, but Tin had numerous chances to save him because to time loops. One of the finest shows of 2022, Triage kept me on the edge of my seat as I watched the plot twists.

#2. Cherry Magic (2020)

Cherry Magic is another story I think of when I think of fantasy stories, and its tale was genuinely amazing. Cherry Magic is a romantic comedy series in addition to being a fantasy series, so you can expect to laugh a lot while watching it. In Cherry Magic, Adachi discovers a magical power that allows him to read people's minds just by touching them. Due to his newly discovered power, he unintentionally touches Kurosawa, who he later discovers has love emotions for him. Even though this series aired about two years ago, I still suggest watching it due of the enjoyable and lighthearted plot.

#3. Peach Of Time (2021)

I never imagined that a BL would exist that would tell the narrative of a romance between a real person and a ghost, yet here we are. One of the BLs I watched last year was Peach of Time, and it had an extremely compelling narrative. Even if some of the scenarios were handled inconsistently, it's still an excellent BL to watch with a supernatural element. Peach, a 22-year-old Thai man, chooses to take a risk in his life and go to Korea to visit his Korean friend, Yun Oh, in the narrative Peach Of Time. At first, everything seems OK, but as the days pass, something starts to feel off. In addition to the love tale it gives, this series also includes additional features that will liven up the story even more.

#4. The Miracle Of Teddy Bear (2022)

While the fantastical scenario of a teddy bear becoming a young man may seem unbelievable, the screenplay really addresses important social concerns. One of this series' virtues is the amount of information they have included, and I was astonished that despite each episode lasting an hour and a half, I did not get tired of watching it. In the story The Miracle Of Teddy Bear, Tofu, a huge teddy bear, transforms into a young man. For ten years, Tofu had been Nut's source of comfort, but Nut was unaware of his change and believed that he was a robber who had broken into their home. Tofu will soon discover Nut's family's dark secrets as well as the miracle that has occurred to him. This series has a depressing conclusion, but it's still one of my favorites for 2022.

#5. First Love Again (2022)

First Love Again is one of the BLs that I always remember because of its narrative when we are talking about reincarnation. This series is a fantastic choice for people with little free time because it only has 6 episodes. I think the plot of this series is excellent, but the execution is often lacking. In the series First Love Again, Yeon Seok, who has been living for 300 years in search of his first love. But Yeon Seok never imagined that his childhood sweetheart would come back to life as a young guy in the modern time. The characters in the series might have been developed more fully if this BL had received more screen time, but sadly, the series is only a short one.

#6. Cupid's Last Wish (2022)

Body swapping has never been my thing since it might be confusing to viewers, but Cupid's Last Wish is an exception. The main character in the series has seen remarkable development, and I thought the premise was unique. Korn and Win, two closest friends from childhood, are the characters of Cupid's Last Wish. When Win's father passed away, Korn received a piece of the assets according to the final will and testament, which angered Win greatly. Win's sister Lin and he were involved in a car accident one night; when they awoke, Win discovered his soul inside Lin. Korn and Win have seven days to gather holy water from four temples around the country and return to their original bodies. Although I am aware that the majority of you don't like body swap, Cupid's Last Wish is one that you should see.

#7. Color Rush (2020)

This series has a second season released earlier this year after its first release in late 2020. It was one of the most anticipated Korean BLs since its narrative was different from other BLs that were released in late 2020. The monochromatic Yeon Woo of Color Rush is a character that could only perceive the world in various tones of grey, black, and white. But when he met Yoo Han, his probe, and had his first Color Rush, which enabled him to see other colors, his life was changed forever. Like most Korean BLs, this one is likewise rather short but quickly gets to the core of the story.

#8. Dear Doctor (2022)

A doctor and soul reaper love tale may be the ideal series for you if a human and a ghost romance isn't heartwarming enough for you. In the story Dear Doctor I'm Coming For Soul, Dr. Prakan, a well-known surgeon who is committed to saving lives, is profiled. The fact that he saw a soul reaper, a sign that someone was ready to pass away, made his life much harder than that of other medical professionals. Dr. Prakan wants to end death and save more lives, but is he truly capable of doing so? This BL is a fascinating series that differs greatly from the others on this list. I would absolutely watch season 2 of this if there was one.

#9. Tinted With You (2021)

Sadly, this Korean BL was a short series that blended the fantastical and historical genres. Although it's a good concept, the narrative wasn't developed all that well due to poor execution. But if you don't have much free time and simply want a BL that's really different from the others, this is a wonderful series to watch. The Crown Prince's exile is depicted in Tinted With You as a result of his cruel older brother. In the present, a high school student finds himself mysteriously dragged into the past. There, he meets the Crown Prince and develops a strong, passionate relationship with him. Because of its originality, this series might receive much more praise if it had the budget to improve.

#10. Until We Meet Again (2019)

Although this BL was released about three years ago, when I first saw it, it seemed like yesterday. One of the series' strengths was the reincarnation premise, which was extensively used in a positive way throughout the show. In the story Until We Meet Again, Dean and Pharm are reincarnated people who previously committed suicide because their dads couldn't accept their gay sexuality and love. The red thread of fate will eventually find a way to bring them back together in the present so that their story can have a happy ending. Until We Meet Again is still one of the original BLs, and I will cherish its tale forever even if there are now many better ones available.

#11. He's Coming To Me (2019)

Even though this BL is the oldest on the list, its narrative and development are among the greatest. Usually, I don't like shows with ghost characters, but happily, the character in this series wasn't very scary. The story He's Coming Of Me depicts the tale of Mes, a good-hearted heir to a wealthy family, who suddenly passes away on his birthday. He's been a ghost for 20 years, waiting to reincarnate until someone goes to his tomb. But during the Ching Ming festival, a little child just so happens to meet him and start talking with him. After a few years, the little child, who is now a college student, tells Mes that he was killed. The two will set out on a quest to unravel the truth behind Mes's passing. It is now preferable to watch this BL if you haven't already.

#12. Vice Versa (2022)

Vice Versa is the newest BL on this list, and it is undoubtedly a promising one. I'm curious to see where Vice Versa's narrative goes because the idea of parallel universes has never been addressed in a BL. Lay, who was in an accident and woke up in the body of Tess in a different universe, and Puen, a well-known actor who is now in the body of Tun, are the characters of Vice Versa. To return to their original world, the two must discover their "portkey." I like the premise of this BL even if the series is only in its first episode and there will be a lot more events. All I can do is hope that the tale will progress well.

You may watch Something In My Room (2022) and Great Men Academy (2019), two other dramas with supernatural and fantasy-themed plots, in addition to these 12 titles. These BL series have tried to go beyond our imaginations, and it's a fantastic chance to include these genres in other BLs in the future. Which one of these BLs do you prefer? I appreciate you reading. I'll see you on the next one, then.
