    Unlike Korean dramas or even Hollywood, the BL industry frequently uses the same couples because to their popularity and familiarity.     Even though I hadn't seen their series at the time, BillySeng was regarded as one of the most popular on-screen couples, according to what I'd seen on social media. However, due to Seng's departure from IdolFacotory early last year, the company needed to recruit another skilled and talented actor. Fortunately, IdolFactory cast Babe as Billy's on-screen partner, and both of them appeared in "The Sign." When the series premiered in the fourth quarter of 2023, it quickly rose to become one of the most popular and finest shows of the year.     Back in 2020, I was a fan of both Zee and Saint due to their series "Why R U," which became quite famous during the epidemic. However, because Saint was not a regular member of Domundi, the company had to match him with a new actor for future projects. Even though Cutie Pie premiered in 2022, ZeeNuNew's partnership was first presented to the public in 2021 as part of the show's main cast, and viewers quickly fell in love with them. The on-screen couple appeared to be at ease with one other, which was an excellent approach to introduce their relationship to the general audience. Three years later, ZeeNuNew remains on-screen partners and has grown in popularity since their initial public debut.

Gawin and Krist's partnership may have shocked us, but so did their on-screen chemistry and relationship dynamics. Even though this is a one-time partnership, I believe it was one of the greatest we had last year, and I wouldn't mind if GMMTV gave them another project in the future.

#06. NeoMark

 

    This may be based on personal assumptions, but NeoMark as an on-screen couple was not on my radar until they announced "Only Friends" in 2022. Even though Neo's character was toxic throughout the series, I thought his chemistry with Mark was one of the most intriguing that emerged last year. Both actors appeared in intimate scenes in the series, which shocked me because they were usually cast as silly supporting characters. However, this just suggests that both actors can do anything and are equally competent. As of now, NeoMark may no longer appear in the future because Mark has a new partner, but we'll see what the future holds for the two of them.

#06. PoomUp

 

    When "My Stand In" was announced, I was startled to see both Poom and Up headline the show because they had not previously been in the same series. Poom appeared in "Bake Me Please," while Up played the lead in "Lovely Writer" and a supporting part in "Step by Step." Watching the first two episodes has piqued my interest in how things will play out between their characters, as well as the story twist that might occur along the line. The two characters' relationship is still in its early stages, and we'll see if it improves as the story develops.

 

    Aside from these seven on-screen BL couples, I would include JossGawin (#08) and MarkOhm (#09), who have never appeared as side couples in a series previously.
